Martha Beck talks changing your thinking and beginning a more positive life for the New Year.
Martha Beck grew up wanting to be an ecologist or a professor. However, after bearing three children while acquiring three Harvard degrees, I decided I’d rather just lie down for a few decades. During that time she became an author and life coach, and trains life coaches worldwide. She has also joined forces with people who repair wilderness ecosystems and indigenous communities in Africa. She has been a columnist for O, The Oprah Magazine since its inception in 2000. Her newest book In Finding Your Way in a Wild New World was released in Dec 2011.
Her new book was released December 27, 2011, giving you something to read during Mayan end of days. (And the paperback will be released on January 1, 2013, which means we will have survived the Mayan end of days. Go, humans!) Regardless, it can feel like the end of days as many people are finding the world an increasing baffling and sometimes frightening place. I also think that ancient human traditions often offer solutions to this sort of turbulence. . Thank you, Dr. Beck.”
